Pokemon Platinum Confirmed
... Unfortunately, it's not the G/S/C remake that most of us wanted. T.T It still looks good, though.

Pokemon Platinum will be the third Diamond/Pearl game. The main Pokemon will be Giratina, which we all would have expected anyways, but get this: It's Origin Form from the next movie will also be in the game. That's, like, the first time they've pulled material from the anime in the main games (Well, besides Yellow).

Here's a scan of the latest CoroCoro, which confirmed the game:

Spoiler:

Credit to PokeJungle for the scan

Here's various information, from PokeJungle:

- PokeJungle -

- Officially caled Pokemon Platinum (Pokemon Platina in Japan)
- JP Release Date: September 2008
- You'll encounter Girantina at Level 47 in its Origin Form
- Alternate clothes for the two protagonists (Male looks like he's wearing a blue hoodie)
- New HP bar (Revamped menu system?)
- New Battle Island, which is basically Platinum's version of Emerald's Battle Frontier
- The Underground has a new ice area that has Wi-Fi capabilities (Tentative information from Japanese boards)

More news as it develops!

RE: Pokemon Platinum Confirmed
I was just going to post this topic.
The trainer's new outfit looks awesome. I'ts a pity it isn't a GSC remake, but whatever.

STILL... HAS... BERET...

FIRIN' MAH LAZER!

Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope.
Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds.

Fire your lazers somewhere where they don't stretch the whole damn screen. >>

RE: Pokemon Platinum Confirmed
I wasn't expecting a GS remake out of this game (although the title does make sense)
But yeah, with all of the cool additions I have seen so far, I am getting this. Hopefully, there will be a bunch of cool new updates soon.

I'll work on that.

RE: Pokemon Platinum Confirmed
I was wondering when the new one would be out, and what it'd be called.
I'll be picking it up whenever it comes out. I just need to beat Diamond first... XD

RE: Pokemon Platinum Confirmed
Well, I've heared rumors about a Shinx egg that will come with a pre-ordered version, and comes with a special move. I don't know if it's true or not yet.

Also, I don't see anything in the first post about Regigigas' Sky Form, or Shaymin's Ice. Of course those aren't confirmed yet either.

RE: Pokemon Platinum Confirmed
If the Shinx egg thing is true, then I would hope it has Volt Tackle (Since all of its other Physical Electric attacks aren't too good)

But yeah, Regigigas' Sky Form having Levitate instead of Slow Start makes it much better. And I would guess Shaymin's Another Form would be Ice Flying (Since the name of the movie is the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin), Ice, or Grass Ice (Making it have a terrible type matchup)

BTW, I like your new sig Ooka.

RE: Pokemon Platinum Confirmed
Shaymin can have Grass/Ice as its type, just so it can learn Ice Beam.

Regigigas without slow start would be like a physical version of Mewtwo, broken in the right way.

Don't know anything about Shinx egg, where did you find it?
