The next Metroid game?

I like the Prime games to an extent, but if we have to wait this long for a new fully-Japanese Metroid game, it has to be teh pwn. Otherwise, Nintendo just screwed up on yet another franchise. (Pokemon's already dying because of repetition; but I still like it, of course)

Don't worry. The Prime series ended with Corruption already. Unless they release another Pinball or something. >_>

However, despite the Prime Programmer died recently, Retro Studios and Nintendo are extremely notorious for surprising people.

There might as well be a Metroid Prime Hunters 2: Rise of the Krikens or something like that...

...Which I admit would be pretty cool. Maybe have Kanden's past tie with the Krikens' evil plans and Ridley is thrown in the fray, too...

A 2-D DS game would be fantastic. Either that or another 3-D one that feature the hunters but more like the Prime games instead of MPH. Imagine multiplayer with the Wii's controls!

I agree with Gamefreek, but I think that a 2.5-D game would be more appropriate.

Either a 2.5-D game, or an entirely new camera and perspective in 3-D. Third person comes to mind.
