Will they merge?
I was watching G4 the other day and they mentioned that all the game platforms are discussing a merge. Do you think they're going to do it?

RE: Will they merge?
I dont think so since the wii is for more younger players and the 360 is for older players and it could cause trouble with little kids buying a game that is too mature for them.

RE: Will they merge?
Well, the parents can control what their kids buy so that isn't really a factor in this.

RE: Will they merge?
You were watching AOTS weren't you? XD
Will they all merge? No. And here is why... they all have their own markets to look at and look after. Nintendo: More of the inventive market as well as the casual gamers, younger gamers, and franchise gamers (like people who are maybe in their 30s or so and like Mario games because they grew up with Mario). Nintendo right now is really into the mini-game games (Nintendo won't look at it, but casual gamers aren't the heart of the Wii). Sony: More of the older, richer, entertainment people. Many people who buy a PS3 isn't just to play games, it's for the Blu-Ray player and the power behind the PS3 (it's not about the games, it's about how much money you can throw around). Microsoft: More to the hardcore gamers, as well as the older (late teens to young adults) age group, people who play shooters and sport games, online gamers. I'd say most who buy a 360 will own at least one shooter for it (4 of the 9, 360 games I got is shooters), and shooters are great for online. They all got their markets, so there won't be "One system".

RE: Will they merge?
It is a possibility. I mean there are some mature games on every system and there are also non-mature games on all the platforms, so it probably wouldn't make a difference. But then again you have to look at the production rates of each console. And for us gamers we would probably vote no to it because of the controller issus. Vibration will definitely not be an issue, I know that.

RE: Will they merge?
HOLY CRAP, I seriously laughed when I read this.
Of course they ain't gonna merge! It'd cost too much money, and you'd see more kids under 10 playing Halo. *Pokes Lil Poison* Signature coming soon, lol. |

I have to say, that would be pretty neat if they did, how ever with all luck, it wont happen. T-T
