The Great NN Posting/Referral Challenge!

I'm proud to announce that Nintendo Net will be having its first-ever Posting/Referral Challenge!

The idea is simple: starting right now, you'll receive points for every post, thread, or poll you make, and every poll you vote on.

Also, starting immediately, for every new member you refer, you'll receive 25 points once they reach 10 posts.

The person with the most points by the end of the contest on November 20th, 2007 will receive a custom profile theme (signature/avatar) as well as a special perk that we won't announce until the announcement of the winner. Let's just say that I don't think you'll be disappointed with it. :x

So get out there, get posting and referring!

Following this post is a list of point values and rules for the contest.

Points
New Post - 1 point
New Thread - 3 points
Vote on Poll - 1 point
Create New Poll - 2 points
Refer a Member that gets 10 posts - 25 points

Rules
1. Do not spam to increase your points!
2. Do not create multiple accounts on your own to cheat the system. If you create an alternate account for yourself, please do not put yourself down as the referrer.
3. The person you refer MUST put your username down as their referrer on the registration page, or must register with your referral link. If they don't, the referral will not count.
4. You will receive 25 points for each referral only when the person you referred reaches 10 posts. I will keep track of the referrals and will manually add 10 points to your account upon their reaching 10 posts.
5. Posts made, threads created, and members you've referred before now will not count towards the contest or your point count.
6. This contest is open to all members who join through the 20th of November - including current and future members.
7. Posts must be 10 characters in order to qualify for points. This ensures that you create at least halfway-thought-out posts.
8. Staff are not eligible for this contest. Sorry guys, but posting/referring are part of your jobs anyway. :x
9. Please keep track of this thread for updates to the rules. We are not responsible for you not being informed of an update or change to the rules.

Anyone caught creating spam posts/threads will receive a point penalty. Multiple offenses will result in a total point wipe for that member or a disqualification.

If you are caught creating multiple accounts under the same IP and claiming them as your referrals, your points will be wiped on both accounts and/or you will be disqualified from the contest.

Suggestion: Shouldn't referring a member who posts 10 points be worth more? Because, you don't get the points, unless they post 10 posts - so it's like a new member's point value is no different than posting 10 posts?..... get it? =P
