Yay! I love Pony Friends
I suppose the title may be a bit misleading but I'd like to discuss the reason why the DS is frowned upon the older you are.

My theory is because of all the DS games related to ponies and horses. I believe the huge amount of them have ruined the image of the DS. Since the DS was released, I'm sure at least 20 games have come out for young girls and their pony fantasies. There are other similar games which make the DS look like a piece of crap too.

I've been believing this ever since I played the DS version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed which was absolutely atrocious. The graphics were under par, gameplay was... meh and the total game time only came to around 4 hours. I feel as if the developers of the game didn't even put any effort into it seeing how awesome every other version of it was.

Feel free to post your opinions.

DS is for furries. XD

In all seriousness, the only game I'm looking forward to is Pokemon Gold/Silver remake. They aren't confirmed but you know they will happen.

I don't care about ponies as long as I get things like Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. 8D

And who can hate ponies anyway?

Thing about the DS is, for all the shovelware that comes out for it, there's a bunch of great games too. The Wii gets a lot of shovelware, but there are only a select few truly good games for it. The DS has a LOT to balance out the barrage of shovelware.

You can't virtually touch ponies with the PSP, so the developers decide Nintendo should be looked down upon even further by those d-bags who don't believe in the existence of video gaming consoles before the PS2.

I think I got the figure in my first post incorrect. It's more like 50 Pony/horse games that are out.

PONIES FTW

But anyways, yeah, I don't see many older people with DSs, but with PSPs instead. I mean, there are a bunch of good games for the DS, but there's a bunch of not so good ones such as all of the Nintendogs ripoffs and just random stuff.

RE: Yay! I love Pony Friends
On the contrary, I see a lot more DSes than I do PSPs. And you can't argue that the DS has a much better library for both casual and core gamers than the PSP. And looking at the upcoming releases for PSP...that's not going to change anytime soon.
