What do you think about Arceus as a 'god' of Pokémon? Do you think it's too much to have the image of a Pokémon god? Maybe it kinda replaced Mew (it was "the ancestor of all Pokémon" before)? You like it? You dislike it?

Personally, I think Sinnoh is a land with too many legends. I think people just believe too much there. I know there isn't a Pokémon history, but I kinda believe Mew is the ancestors (at least scientists say that, unlike Arceus, which is only known by legends). It has the best stats, okay, so it's surely important, but I really liked Mew being the most important of all, and I don't want it replaced? D:

What do you think?
I think they went too far by calling Arceus a 'god'. If they never release the Arceus event here in the US, that will be the reason. Mew was considered the ancestor of all pokemon so does that mean Arceus made Mew and Mew just mutated alot? Or did a Arceus come out of Mew and mutated? Arceus is going to cause alot of problems.

Sinnoh does have too many legends, yes. Maybe it even has too many legendaries pokemon? There's 3 spirits, Palkia, Diagla, Gianta (I don't care how its spelled), Manaphy, Phione, Regigigas, Heatran, Darkrai, Cressalia, and Shaymin. That's (counts up quickly) 13 friggin legendaries. Its like they WANT people to make teams of broken pokemon. They need to stop releasing so many legendaries or at least put them out of the way so they're harder to catch.
Arceus created the universe, Mew may have been Pokemon's answer to "Adam & Eve".

It is weird that Mew can learn more moves than its creator Arceus, though.

Yeah, me too.
Yeah, like Dark Heaven said, Arceus is the creator of the universe, but I'd like to throw in that in D/P it doesn't mention anything about Arceus creating Mew, but it does say that it created Mesprit, Uxie and Azelf, which just clashes all the stories. Bad writing if you ask me. (Not that Pokemon as a whole is a bad story, but they shouldn't have two stories that don't work out).
D/P/Pt definately has too many legendaries. It is difficult to know what Pokemon fits where into the Legendary Pokemon history. But I also agree that calling Arceus "God" just because it's the Alpha Pokemon goes too far. I've always understood it as Arceus was born from an Egg in a dimension of Chaos. It created Dialga as the ruler of time, Palkia as the ruler of Space, Giratina as ruler of the Mirror World. Then created Uxie as the being of Knowledge, Azelf as the being of Will Power, and Mesprit as the being of Emotion to control these three Pokemon if they were to go out of control. However, it is misunderstood as to how Mew fits into the scenario (if Mew was along side Arceus or if Mew branched from Arceus). Mew contains all 493 Pokemon DNA and all Pokemon branched from it since it is the Ancestor of Pokemon. So having Mew as Dark Heaven stated, the "Adam and Eve" of Pokemon is understood. It is still unclear to me as to how some legendaries like Regigigas and Heatran fit into the whole scheme of things.

That's why I think Arceus and most Sinnoh legends are fake. D8 Scientist support Mew's theory; nobody does the same with Arceus. I don't know if it's a problem with writing or if it's supposed to be that way. Personally, I'd love to see these theories clash as if the history of Pokémon weren't clear enough for modern times. Like, science vs. faith things.

At least, if legends are all true, we can be sure Mew doesn't have the DNA of Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit, Castform, Mewtwo, Porygon, Porygon2, Porygon-Z (these last five are human-made) and Deoxys (virus from another planet).
Arceus is only stated to have created the universe, not the Pokemon themselves. Since Mew can learn every TM/HM I still think it's the ancestor of Pokemon.
On another note, Arceus, Dialga/Palkia, the pixies are usually mentioned as the ones who created Sinnoh, at least if I remember correctly. Of course, if the Pokémon universe's Big Bang equivalent created Kanto, Johto and Hoenn, and Sinnoh was created by its legendaries, it would make as much sense. >_>
