...which model do you have?

I have the 60GB Pro 360, and no PS3. If I ever got a PS3 I'd try to get one of the old 60GB ones though, since they have full backwards compatibility and the new ones are phasing out BC.
I own both the PS3 and the 360. \o/

I got the PS3 for Christmas last year--my dad got the family the 40 gig model, so unfortunately there was no BC which is one of the main things I really wanted if I got a PS3. Can't complain, though, since... you know... I didn't have to buy a PS3 myself. (That and how ungrateful would I have seemed if I'd demanded to take it back for an 80 gig version? x__o)

As for my 360... I'd actually wanted an Xbox before a PS3, but dad didn't know (not that it would've affected his purchase since he wanted the Blu-ray capabilities for himself). So when I got my first paycheque from my winter job, and the 360 got its price cut, I went out and grabbed the Pro model. So it's 20gb. I do wish it had more space but... oh well. D:
Well, I'm limited to just the Wii myself. I owned a 360 for about a week, but then I got the Red Ring, and decided to send it back in and spend all my 350 dollars on Wii Points and Games.

I had the online package that came with 2 games.
Oh ouch, you red-ringed within a week? That really sucks. o_O;;
Eh, unfortunately yes, I had heard about them getting the red ring, but I really didn't think I would get it, mainly because I had heard that there weren't any more being sold that had the deficiency. Apparently I thought wrong :/
No, they haven't solved the problem at all yet. It's just kinda crazy that you managed to get RRoD so soon after getting a 360. That's one hell of a first impression. XD;
Actually, the Falcon chipsets, which mine has (and I think yours too, Erica), have been proven to overheat less and not be as RRoD-prone. A few still get it, but it's nowhere near as prevalent as in previous 360s.
Yes, but it still hasn't been fixed. People who get their 360s back from RRoD repair still get it again and again. The fact that ours still have the chance of RRoD means there isn't a surefire workaround. It's just less common.
Erica: You do know you can just buy an HDD by itself and then transfer everything over and then take the 20 gig and put it on eBay or take it to GameStop/EBGames and get rid of it.

Anyway, I got both a 360 (well it's my brother's), and a PS3 (that one is mine).

360: We've got the 20 gig, we got it 2 years ago, so there wasn't even an Elite out. I thought about upgrading to a 60 gig, but I got my plans set on my own Elite so that comes first. XD
The 20 gig has done ok, sure we only got like 4 gig left, but we could clear out a few demos and some trailers to make some room. Maybe down the road I'll upgrade my brother's 360 (maybe he can buy the larger HDD) to something like a 60 gig. Because I know that fall update might take a little chunk out of that small 4 gig we have left.

PS3: I got the MGS4 PS3 bundle, so that came with an 80 gig PS3. And this is one of the models where you can play PS2 and PS games. So I'm happy about that. And on top of that the PS2 games looks quite well on an HDTV running on the PS3 (unlike playing PS2 games on the PS2).

And since you guys talked about the RRoD.... I hate it... I hate it soooo much. It's happened twice, and I plan on it happening again, and I plan on it happening to my Elite. The last time it happened my brother called me in and just pointed at it (said nothing), yea I was happy to see them 3 red rings...
